Termex -air seals are a functional part of the breathable structure
Breathable Termex air barrier papers Kraft and Retro
Preventing uncontrolled air flow is important for the functioning of safe structures. Termex air barrier papers are installed on the inside of the thermal insulation of a structure. The paper is stapled to the structure and supported by studding if necessary. The seams are overlapped, the overlap is taped together with Termex air sealing tape, and the seam points are secured by studding if necessary. Penetrations are sealed using appropriate grommets.
Termex Kraft – Air sealing for modern construction
Termex Kraft is a mesh-reinforced, multi-layer durable air barrier product designed to combat harmful air flows through structures. It allows water vapour to pass through without forming too tight a surface on the structure, which would allow condensation; that is, it allows the structure to breathe.
Termex Retro – Air sealing for traditional construction
Termex Retro is an unlaminated, single-layer air barrier product designed to combat harmful air flows through structures. It allows water vapour to pass through without forming too tight a surface on the structure, which would allow condensation; that is, it allows the structure to breathe.
